ALEA Grants

ALEA Research Grant
ALEA provides small grants for schools and teachers who wish to conduct research inquiries with a focus on literacy education and with the support of an academic partner. Contingent upon available funding, grants of up to $6000 may be awarded per year, although priority will be given to smaller grants in order to support as many research projects as possible.

Applications for ALEA Research Grants are due by 15 June each year. See here for more details.

ALEA Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mentoring Program
ALEA has established an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mentoring Program. The program aims to recognise and support up to two early career teachers each year as they investigate literacy education in their teaching context, with particular focus on improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Teachers working in both remote and/or urban settings are particularly encouraged to apply, as are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander teachers.

Applications for the ALEA Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mentoring Program are due by 10 March each year. See here for more details.
