ALEA Tasmania

The Australian Literacy Educators' Association is a membership association dedicated to the improvement of literacy development and language learning at all levels.

ALEA consists of a network of local councils throughout Australia. There are three local councils in Tasmania. One is based in Hobart, Tas South Council; another is based in Launceston, Tas North; and the third is based on the North West Coast, Tas North West. Each local council meets to share expertise and organise professional development functions for members and others interested in language and literacy.

Members are kept informed by a state newsletter ALEA Update, local council flyers for events and national mailouts of ALEA's publications.
